I got the info from my HR saying that If I give the notice period of 1 weeks (which is is complied to the company policy since I'm still in probation period), my salary will be held about a month.
Actually I plan to give a notice tomorrow (25/03/2011) and my last day will be on 31/03/2011. Normally my employer will pay the salary every 3rd of every month. But according to the HR, they will pay me the salary on 05/03/2011.
Did they have right to do this since I comply the company policy?
Better discuss and sort it out with your HR when you hand over the resignation notice.

I have discussed with HR and the same info I received where they are still will hold my salary to next month. So, what should i do?
I think it would be better to be a bit patient and wait for the payment. No point complaining to the Labour Department as it would take even longer time to get it settled.
