Hi,
I need to find out, 1 of our staff is resign and he give 1 month notice & his last date is 13/6/11. Then on 3/6/10 till 10/6/11 he take leave. may i know how to calculate his salary? His still got 1 day annual leave, basic salary RM3150 and fixed allowance 700.
Please advice the calculation.
Thank you.
If the leave from 3/6 to 10/6 is unpaid leave without approval, you can tell him to pay indemnity for the period i.e. 8 days minus rest days based on RM3850.

His leave is approved. So we calculate the salary base on 30 days or just calculate number of days he had work? cause he just work 4 days only. please show and advice the calculation.
What do you mean "cause he just work 4 days only"?

he work 1/6/11 till 13/6/11, and in between 3/6/11 till 10/6/11 he is on leave. he just left 1 day annual leave. should i calculate like this:
Basic 13/30 x 3850 = 1668.33
Unpaid leave 6/30 x 3850 = 770
Balance of salary is 898.33

Hi,
I would like to ask whether is it ok for a company to use the number of working days in the calculation of salary, especially in deducting unpaid leave? I notice most companies use the number of days per month, means either 30 or 31. If I use number of working days, the number will be 23 days for Aug 2011 (every Monday-Friday, excluding Saturday and Sundays).
Thanks.
