Need you help to clarify my problem.
Im was working at this multinational company for 15 years and 8 months [2nd.January 1996 till 17th.August 2011as production supervisor and last month i was terminated due to negligence.
I had my first warning letter issued to me on 13th.May 2004. for negligence for production date code error.
the second warning was issued to me on 5th.April 2007 [ 2 years 3 months later] for negligence for product code error.
the third warning& final warning letter was issued to me on 2nd.November 2009 [2 years and 7 months later] for negligence on product error i was demoted 1 grade down.
Summited letter to department head [expat who has left Malaysia last year] to be transfered to differend department and he said NO since im the most experience person handling the production section. for your info we are handling around 1,800 brand changes per year.
The recent one occured in June 9th.June 2011.[8th.June 2011] for negligence for packing material error.
I was issued a Disciplinary Communication Notice on 13th. June 2011 which i replied on the 13th.June 2011
I was back to work as usual [no suspension]
After that i was issued a show cause letter dated 8th.July 2011 which i replied on 15th.July 2011
I was back to work as usual [no suspension]
After that I was issued a DI letter on 20th.July 2011
I was back to work [ no suspension]
The DI was held on the 28th.July 2011
I was back to work [ no suspension]
The company ask me to sign the DI minutes on 11th.August 2011
I was back to work [ no suspension]
On the 17th.August 2011 started work at 7.00am, I was working on the production floor as per normal then i was called to HR department around 9.30am. was given my termination letter and I ask me to hand over my company ID and remove my personal item from my work station and ask to leave.i was out within 25 minutes.
Have lodge complain at IR office and im waiting for them to call me.im asking for reinstated back to my job.
I have 2 kids and wife who is not working.
1] My Question is How Long does a warning letter valid for?
2] My 3 earlier negligence was due to date code error and the most recent one was on packing material error.

That is the right way by making a claim for reinstatement. Now, you just have to wait for the IRD to take action to try to resolve the issue. If the issue cannot be amicably settled at the local level of the IRD, the case may end up in the Industrial Court. You can seek all the clarifications you need when the issue comes up for discussion.
