I have this question here.
I am a shift worker work on Sat & Sun and offday on Thu & Fri. Now the case is I worked on Nov 6,2011(Sun) and Nov 7,2011(Mon). Nov 6(Sun) is Hari Raya Haji and Nov 7(Mon) Supposed to be the replacement holiday.
My management said I only entitled 1 replacement offday for working on Mon.
Is it fair for both parties?

To me, since your rest days are on Thur and Fri, I think one replacement for working on Hari Raya Haji is fair. Consult the Labour Office if you think otherwise.

I want to ask you about cut off date..For instance,my company cut off date is 20th every month.The cycle is 19th Oct-20th Nov (e.g) when is the latest they should pay us?Because the funny things,some of us get their salary on 20th but some of us get on 31st or the last date of the month.We do not understand.
For what I know, for those who are monthly paid like clerks, executives, can be paid on time. But for those who have overtime work or other claims, it may take longer to calculate because checking is required and that's why it takes longer. If you feel it is too long, you can always consult the Labour Office see anything can be done about it.
