My contract does not have a resignation clause. I am hence not 'allowed' to tender my resignation until my 2 year contract is over. However, there are various clauses stating the employer can terminate my service due to many causes.

I am unhappy and would like to resign but am not sure of the consequences. The employer is known to stop paying the salary in lieu to those who have tendered their resignation. My salary is in the range of 2.5 - 3K.  How do i go about handling this problem? I have a better job offer elsewhere and need to give the other party an answer.

I don't know what sort of contract you have signed. Consult a lawyer by showing him a copy of the contract.
