Hi

Appreciate your advise for follows;

My salary is above RM2000.00. I have served notice to commence my 60 days  maternity leave from 14 Jan 2012.

But, my employer asked me to return to work after 30 days maternity leave because of short staff.  However, he did not mentioned how the company will compensate the recall for my early returning for duty.

Please advise if the company should pay me extra 30 days pay ontop of my maternity leave allowance ?

Thank you.

Don't be shy to ask your employer the question.

Yes, I did.

But, my boss said this is out of emergency and since there will no policy stated to compensate for such event and therefore, I should return on recall based on work committment and goodwill.

As i have tried in vain to call the human resource and labor dept to check my basic right, but no one answered the phone.

I appreciate some advise on this matter so I could decide my next action.

Thank you.
