Dear Sir/Madam,

Please advise on the following issues:

1] An employee had been working for 14 years for a sole-proprieter business (motor repairing workshop) had been terminated due to business closure.

2] The Employer had compensate with 1 month salary as to serve as notice of termination.

3] What is the legal ground that the Employee has if asking for more compensation from the Employer?

Many thanks in advance for your kind support and assistance and I am looking forward to your earliest reply.

With regards, MC

You can refer to the Employment(Termination and Layoff Benefits)Regulations for info about compensation. The employee concerned should go to the local Labour Department to make complaint if benefits are not paid.
