termination notice

i joint the comapny on Aug 2004 & hold a position as account & admin assistance. If i would like to resign form this month, how many month of notice i have to give to my employer?

in my appointment letter it is stated that "after confirmation of employment with the company, your employment will be terminated by either party giving the other one complete calender month notice in writing or the equivalent of one month salary in lieu of notice."

One month notice is enough. Only when there is no such stipulation in the appointment letter that you have to follow the Employment Act.
