Resignation with 24 Hr Notice

Dear Administrator,

There is one staff (still under probation) tendered resignation with 24 hour notice. She did not sign any employment contract, just an offer letter of the position with the Company. The Company still have to pay for the salary for the days she has worked for the month before her resignation, am I right? Does the Company have the right to hold or not to pay the salary?

Please advise. Thank you.
