Hi,I am confirmed staff with my ex company. I submitted resignation letter on 19 Oct 2015 to HR in charge person. Employment letter required 1 month notice. My last day should be 18 Nov 2015. This company Sat work half day. With 3.5 days annual leave + 2 days off-in-lieu, my last working day become 11 Nov 2015. While I am doing hand over on 10 Nov 2015, HR in charge person suddenly informed me by phone that CEO of the company verbally instructed 10 Nov 2015 shall be my last working day, no need go to work on 11 Nov 2015. I requested HR personnel to send me an official email. HR personnel said he can't write that email because it is not his instruction, it's the CEO's intention to ask me leave earlier. Thus, I didn't turn up for work on 11 Nov 2015, yet no official email been sent to me. My final salary for 01 Nov 2015 to 18 Nov 2015 shall be paid by end of Nov'15.May I know for my case, can the employer take legal actions on me? Thanks..

So, if you did get your salary by the end of November, you can go to the Labour Department and make a claim against the company.

Dear KL Siew,Can I know do u mean I can take action if I didn't get my salary by end Nov'15?By the way, from the scenario, I had resign with 1 month notice, hand over done, if employer trying to create mess for me, any loophole that they can pinpoint on?

Well, if you don't leave any loophole, they may not be able to find it, I suppose. Anyway, it is not possible to say what action they can take. .
