Hi,

I have recently resigned from my company. Can I check if this calculation is correct (given by my HR) as according to them it is pro rated. My last day is 20 June 2017. My annual leave is 9.5 days. I have taken 6 days, thereby balance of 3.5 days.

The calculation is like this:

Salary (June 1 -20) = 5788/30 =192.93 x 20 days

Leave =  5788/22 =263.09 x 3.5 days

Also, can I check why isn't the 6 days calculated?

Sorry if this question is troublesome. Just want to check.

Thank you.

The standard calculation will be as below -

Salary = (5788/30) x 20 = 3,858.60

Leave = (5788/26) x 3.5 =  779.17

Total = 4,637.77 (This is lesser than the calculation made by your HR)

As for the 6 days, you have taken the leaves and I supposed you got a full salary when you took that 6 days leave earlier.
