Hi, our staff commit mistakes during work process (eg: ticketing process) that cause company being charged with penalty fees, is it lawful for us to deduct their salary in which we treat it as advance salary? Another case is that our staff have pending cash sales, whereby he issued ticket but unable to collect payment from customer. Is it lawful for us to deduct their salary in the same way as I mention in previous case? Appreciate your advise, thank you.

Lawful deductions from wages are stated in Section 24 of the Employment Act 1955. It is better to refer to the said section to ensure company follow the law.
