Annual Leave Entitlement

Employee annual leave in my company as below :-

0 - 2 years = 14 days

3 - 5 years = 16 days

5 years above = 18 days

One employee joined in Feb 2017, entitle to get prorate annual leave? or she has no leave for 01/02/2017 - 31/01/2018?

Annual Leave entitlement is based on the calendar year. Meaning what is entitled from January to December.

In your case the employee joined in February 2017. Therefore the entitlement for 2017 Annual Leave is from February 2017 to December 2017. Roughly calculated as (11/12) x 14 = 13 days, which can be fully utilised beginning 1/1/2018.

Many companies however allow employees to utilise the current year Annual Leave based on earned entitlement being pro-rated according to duration of months already served for that current year.

May I know how many leave entitlement for Director in a year? How is the treatment for them? We follow as per employee leave entitlement or how it should be? Appreciate your assistance pertaining this matter.
