Due to company shut down, i'm being forced to take unpaid leave. Please share with me how to calculate the unpaid leave correctly. I'm working 5 DAYS A WEEK. My company calculate in this way - (Basic salary/20 working per month) for 1 day unpaid leave??? Is that correct? I don't think so! Please advice the correct calculation formula which is officially available in the labour law.

If you are monthly rated, you still get your salary for not working on Saturdays and Sundays. So, for unpaid leave, simply use the formula: (salary/number of days in the month) x number of days of unpaid leave. For example, say salary RM1500 and 3 days unpaid leave in November, the calculation will be 1500/30 x 3 = 150
