I have 12 days of annual leave in a year. For example, I applied 7 days leave using 7 days of AL for a vacation. Later HR explained that there is a labour law states that we only entitled 1 day AL for 1 month . We are not allowed to use more than 1 AL in one month and if we do, it consider as absent. If we overwrite the rule by getting permission from top management, our salary for the following months will be affected. Do we even have such rule or is it based on company policy? Kindly clarify my doubt. 😭

What many months of service you have put in with the company?  Under the Employment Act, an employee will have to complete 12 months of continuous service to qualify for paid annual leave. Otherwise, he may only be granted no pay leave or prorated leave.
