Employee Pregnant Before Joining

We've hired a consultant 6 months before and her joining date was earlier this month. When she came, we was informed that she's 6 months pregnant but since she has signed the offer letter prior before she got pregnant, we let her to start work. Now she mentioned that she needs to be released earlier for maternity due to her current condition. She has merely completed a month and I am not sure if she can be entitled for maternity leaves. 

Please advice. Btw, she's earning more than 9k.

1. You can suggest to her to resign first and then join back after her maternity.

2. If you still intend to retain her, she can go on 60 days maternity leave, but may not be entitled to maternity allowance if she gives birth before completing 90 days service with the company.  Find out her due date. 

You can give a call to the Labour Department and discuss the issue with the officer there and get an official view.
