Termination of staff salary below RM2k

Hi.

Would like to seek advice that my company wanted to terminate the despatch due to redundancy. As lots of thing we can do it online now, and those ad hoc job we can deliver through delivery app. Ad hoc job like one month once only. Can we terminate him based on this reason? And he is protected under labour law, as his salary below RM2k. What's the proper procedure to implement this? I have read through the termination under labour law act, but most of them are for contract, where our despatch are permanent staff, is it applicable to him as well?

To terminate him, you have to prove that he's redundant ie you no longer need his services, that it is outsourced to outsiders.

You have to compensate him according to the labour laws. Best seek the advice of the nearest Labour Dept because they are going to oversee this case should there be a complaint.
