Hi, the following questiions will be applied to salary above RM 2,000.

1. If my join date is on 6th May 2019 and my yearly Annual leave entitlement is 14 days / year. As of 31st December 2019 I will have entitlement of 9 days . ( 240/365*14) .

- If my company allowed carry forward leave, does it applied on 31st December 2019 or  5th May 2020?

- If it applied on 31st December 2019, does it mean I will have 9+14 days of annual leave in 2020?

2. Same as the join date above. If let say I resigned on 1st March 2020 and has ultilized 12 days of annual leave. Will the company deduct the extra annual leave that I have applied on my last salary?

Thank you in advance.

Joined 6/5/2019. As of 31/12/2019, entitled 9 days Annual Leave. Immediately on 1/1/2020 you may utilise all the 9 days.

- If it applied on 31st December 2019, does it mean I will have 9+14 days of annual leave in 2020? You only have 9 days. Where does this 14 days come from? You must serve until 31/12/2020 to earn that 14 days.

If you utilised Annual Leave more than the total entitled to you at the time you resigned, the Company can claim back the extra leave taken.
