Hi,

I provided my resignation letter to my former employer on 23 December and I was informed by HR that my last day will be on 22 January with 1 month notice. However, I was still entitled to 1-day holiday replacement leave and 1-day annual leave. Therefore, I applied my these leaves on 7 January and 22 January respectively, my last working day was 21 January.

Accordingly to the HR, the company paid me until 21 January only as they were not aware of my leave on 22 January. He delays paying my 1-day salary by giving excuses that he is very busy. Also, I can't get the total amount based on calculation: (RM2780 / 31days x 21 working days = RM 1883.23). I'm not sure how they calculate my prorated salary, are public holidays and leaves excluded? Could you please help me to review below? Thanks.

Monthly salary (gross pay): RM 2780

January payslip (gross pay): RM 1813.04 (until 21 January only)

1 January: Public holiday

7 January: Replacement leave

22 January: Annual leave

27 January: Public holiday

If you bother, you may  to the Labour Department and lodge complaint to claim back your 1 day salary.
