Dear Sir,

Good Morning, One of the new staff resigned after 14 days working with the company without given any notification. We tried to contact her but cannot get through her. She haven't registered under EPF and Socso. My question is:-

1) Since she already resigned without notice, do we still need to register her under EPF and socso ?

2) Do we still need to pay her the 14 days salary since she resigned without notice?

3) Since she not given any notice on her resignation, do the company have the right not to pay her the 14 days salary the she entitled for ? or, we can only deduct 1 week's salary from her due to her short notice.

Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you very much for your assistance.

You didn't say it happened. If it was yesterday, just wait and try to contact her. She might have met with an accident and landed in hospital, who knows. If it happened sometime ago, just hold back her salary for indemnity if necessary.
