Hi there,

This is a simple scenario but i need someone to clarify on this as this is my first time. I work in a small co with 3 staff only and there's no HR to turn to. Tried to ask my bos but his answer doesn't seem clear, leaving me with few more questions instead.

I've given letter of resignation dated 25th May 2010 with 1 month notice. therefore my last day wud be on da 24th June 2010. I have 5 days balance of A/L out of 14 days A/L. I have already received my May salries in full yesterday.

1st Q : how many days left for me to utilize that balance of A/L? My bos said that 5 days only entitle if i work da whole year, and therefore i have no leave to use at all. issit true? How to calculate this?

2nd Q : my last day is on 24th June 2010, shud i be getting full's month pay or only up to 24th June 2010 only

More information required:

1. When did you join the company? This is to find out your leave entitlement.

2. You should be paid up to 24th only and not the full month.

Then your leave entitlement should be (14/12) x 9 months = 10 days. So you may have 5 days left.
