Apply annual leave during resignation period

Hi,
I had pass up my resignation on 30 June 2010 and my last day will be 31 July 2010. I still have 13 days annual leave haven be taken. I want to clear out my leave during the resignation period. However, my boss does not approve my leave and forcing me to work until end of the month. Is there any law that protect workers because my annual leave will be wasted and will not be compensate as what stated in my appointment letter.

If your salary is over RM1500, confirm with your boss that you will be paid for the balance of annual leave since you were not allowed to take.

The problem is my appointment letter stated that unutilized annual leave will not be paid. And now I am not allowed to clear my annual leave as well...Is this counter the labour law because it seems like my annual leave will be wasted and will not be paid as well....

Well, not unutilised and not allowed to utilise are quite different, isn't it. Anyway, you have to ask them whether you will be paid since you are not allowed to utilize it.. If they say they are not going to pay also, then you may consult the Labour Office for help.
