company paid my salary unfairly
Member
I've been working part time at a company in a shopping mall off and on for 1 and a half year with RM4.50 per hour. This month of july i worked at the company again for 22 days ie 162 hours.Usually the company will pay me 162 x RM4.50=RM729.
But when i received the cheque, the payment is 567.75.The calculation is as below:
RM800/31 x 22 days =RM567.75
The company claimed that their laws had changed and they didnt informed me regarding this because they taught i knew it and blamed me that i didnt ask about it.And this is so unfair to me as a employee.Still, they claimed that assuming me as a full time because i worked 5 days a week so the calculation is using the basic salary RM800.In fact even full time, the calculation has to be the basic salary divided by 26,isnt it?
Due to this, can i reclaimed from the company for my previous salary RM4.50 per hour?

If you are paid by the hours you worked, then the calculation of the company is wrong. Complain to the Labour Office.
